Mary-Anne Wright Clinical Psychologist

We all need someone to talk to, a kind heart and a listening ear can make the world of difference in a time of need. I offer a truly non-judgmental space where we can process, laugh, and cry together, while equipping you with the needed skills to face life's challenges. I am passionate about working with adults, teens, and children.

I utilise a multi-modal approach mainly drawing on my training in systems therapy, narrative therapy, psychodynamic therapy, person-centered therapy, CBT, and somatic therapies. I draw on my creative background to tailor therapies to meet the unique needs of each individual client. My specialties include, but are not limited to: grief; trauma; relational dynamics; autism coping skills and emotional regulation; family therapy; depression; and anxiety.

Individual Therapy
Anchor 3

Individual Therapy

Individual therapy is a deeply personal and supportive journey, where you are given a safe space to explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences. In these one-on-one sessions, we will work in an empathic and non-judgmental way, helping you gain clarity as we process psychological challenges and move towards therapeutic goals. It's a place where you can express your vulnerabilities and hopes. Together, we can develop strategies to help you navigate life's difficulties.

The process can bring a sense of healing and empowerment, as you learn more about yourself and your unique needs. Whether you are working through past traumas, managing stress, improving relationships, or simply seeking personal growth, individual therapy offers the opportunity to build a deeper connection with yourself, cultivate resilience, and embrace effective change at your own pace. It’s about creating a path forward with kindness, compassion, and the right support tailored to you.

Play Therapy

Play Therapy

Play therapy offers a nurturing space where children are provided the opportunity to express themselves through play. In these one-on-one sessions, children use toys, art, games, and imaginative activities to process their emotions, make sense of their experiences, and work through challenges. Play therapy assists children in exploring difficult feelings and experiences, in a way that feels safe and comfortable to them.

Through play, children can express themselves freely and begin to heal, develop coping skills, and build emotional resilience. It’s a space of creativity, connection, and growth, where the therapeutic relationship helps children find their voice and gain the confidence to navigate the world around them. Play therapy is not just about solving problems—it’s about fostering a deeper sense of self and belonging, providing a foundation for emotional well-being that can last a lifetime.

Couples Therapy

Couples Therapy

Couples therapy fosters a safe, supportive environment where partners can come together to express feelings openly and honestly. Couples therapy can aid in strengthening communication, understanding each other better, and working through challenges.

It provides a non-judgmental space, with therapist as mediator, to navigate difficulties within the relationship. Couples therapy makes room for each party to figure out who and how they are and want to be in the relationship, and presents the opportunity of finding a path forward.

Family Therapy

Family Therapy

Family therapy is a caring and collaborative process through which families can navigate their challenges. I work with the family as a whole, helping each member express their feelings and concerns in a supportive environment.

By understanding how individual experiences and behaviours affect the family dynamic, together we uncover underlying issues and encourage healthier ways of relating to one another. The goal is to strengthen connections, resolve conflicts, and build a more harmonious and understanding family life.
